JKABA to Hold Selection Trials on June 6 for Sub-Junior National Boxing Championship

Srinagar, June 2 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Boxing Association (JKABA) has announced selection trials for the 5th Sub-Junior Boys and Girls National Boxing Championship, scheduled to be held at Jalandhar from June 22 to June 29, 2026.

According to a notification issued by JKABA, the trials will be conducted at the Indoor Sports Complex, MA Stadium Jammu on June 6, 2026, to finalize the J&K contingent for the national event.

Eligible boxers have been advised to report to JKABA Honorary General Secretary Rajan Sharma on or before June 5, 2026. The association stated that only boxers born between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2013 will be eligible to participate in the selection process.

The association has directed aspiring participants to carry all original documents, including date of birth certificate, domicile certificate, Aadhaar card linked with a mobile number, municipal birth certificate registered within one year of birth, HIV and Hepatitis B & C negative certificates valid for the last three months, Sports Council medical form, BFI annual medical form, bank account details, photographs, and other mandatory records.

JKABA further informed that female boxers must also produce a non-pregnancy certificate, while those already issued a Boxing Federation of India (BFI) medical book should carry the same during verification.

The association has instructed all boxers to bring two sets of photocopies of the required documents for scrutiny and registration before the trials. (JKNS)
