Dharmendra Pradhan Reviews Education Sector in J&K With Minister Sakina Itoo

Srinagar, Jun 8 (JKNS): Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday held a detailed review meeting with J&K Minister for Education, Health & Medical Education and Social Welfare Sakina Itoo to discuss key issues related to the education sector in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to a post shared by the Union Minister on social media as per news agency JKNS, the meeting focused on the functioning of Teacher Education Institutions and the progress of various school and higher education initiatives being implemented across the Union Territory.

Pradhan said the discussions covered teacher training programmes, institutional development, skilling initiatives and other measures aimed at strengthening the overall education ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Union Minister noted with satisfaction the positive trends in student enrolment and educational outcomes in the region, terming them encouraging indicators of progress.

He further reiterated the commitment of both the Central Government and the Jammu and Kashmir Government to work in close coordination for expanding access to quality education, improving employability and creating greater opportunities for students and youth.

Pradhan emphasized that continued collaboration between the two governments would help accelerate educational reforms and support the development of a stronger and more inclusive learning environment in Jammu and Kashmir. (JKNS)
