World Leaders Congratulate PM Modi on 12 Years in Office, Hail His Global Leadership and Transformative Governance

New Delhi, Jun 11 (JKNS): As Prime Minister Narendra Modi completed 12 years in office and became India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister, congratulations poured in from world leaders, who hailed his leadership, governance record and contribution to India’s rise on the global stage. Leaders from the United States, Bhutan, Singapore, New Zealand, the UAE, Guyana, Japan, Australia, Ireland and Seychelles lauded Modi’s achievements and expressed confidence in his continued leadership.

As per news agency JKNS, Former US President Donald Trump, in a post on Truth Social, congratulated Prime Minister Modi on the milestone, describing him as a “strong, healthy and wise man” and expressing confidence that he would continue to achieve “greatness and success” in the years ahead.

Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay penned a detailed tribute, calling Modi his “mentor” and praising his extraordinary dedication to public service. He said Modi’s leadership has transformed India through economic growth, technological advancement, infrastructure development and a stronger global presence. Tobgay also highlighted Modi’s unwavering support for Bhutan and described him as a trusted friend and elder brother.

Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong congratulated Modi on becoming India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister, stating that the achievement reflected years of dedicated service and leadership. He expressed hope for further strengthening Singapore-India ties.

President of Guyana Dr. Irfaan Ali said Prime Minister Modi’s tenure was marked not only by longevity but by impact, noting that under his leadership India had strengthened its global voice and achieved significant developmental progress.

New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon congratulated Modi on the historic milestone and said he looked forward to further cooperation between the two countries following the New Zealand–India Free Trade Agreement.

Chairman of the Japan-India Association and former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida extended his congratulations on Modi completing over 4,000 days as Prime Minister and expressed hope for continued success in his future endeavours.

Former Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull praised Modi’s friendship with Australia and his consistent support for renewable energy initiatives.

Former Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar described Modi’s tenure as a consequential period in India’s history, highlighting the country’s emergence as the world’s fifth-largest economy, improvements in infrastructure and welfare, empowerment of women and the lifting of millions out of poverty.

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan congratulated Modi and said he looked forward to further strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two nations.

Seychelles President Wavel Ramkalawan also extended warm greetings, commending Modi’s leadership in transforming India and deepening India-Seychelles relations.

The congratulatory messages came as Prime Minister Modi completed twelve years at the helm of the Government of India, a period marked by major economic, infrastructural, technological and diplomatic initiatives that have significantly shaped India’s domestic and international profile. (JKNS)
