Srinagar, Jun 17 (JKNS): The Northern Command of the Indian Army has reiterated its commitment towards building a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir, stating that it is working in close coordination with the people of the Union Territory to combat substance abuse through awareness and community-driven initiatives.
As per news agency JKNS, the Northern Command, in a post on X, said it is actively participating in the 100-day Nasha Mukti Abhiyan across Jammu and Kashmir.
“𝗩𝗶𝗸𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝘂𝗿 𝗡𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗺𝘂𝗸𝘁 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗺𝘂 & 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗶𝗿. #NorthernCommand works in sync with the people of J&K to eradicate the drug menace through awareness, outreach and community engagements during the 100 days #NashaMuktiAbhiyan across the Union Territory,” the Army said in its post.
The Northern Command emphasized that collective efforts involving security forces, civil society, youth and local communities are essential to curb drug abuse and create a healthier and more prosperous society.
The campaign aims to spread awareness about the harmful effects of narcotics, encourage youth participation in constructive activities and strengthen community involvement in the fight against drug addiction. (JKNS)
