CRPF Launches One-Month Basic Computer Training for Underprivileged Youth in Srinagar

Srinagar, June 17 (JKNS): The 132 Battalion CRPF, Sanatnagar, Srinagar, under the aegis of Srinagar Sector, have launched a one-month Basic Computer Course under the Human Resource Development initiative of the Civic Action Programme in Jammu and Kashmir for 15 unemployed youths and orphans from economically weaker families in Srinagar.

According to a statement issued here to news agency news agency JKNS, the training programme aims to equip participants with digital literacy and technical skills required to navigate modern technology and improve employment prospects. The course is being conducted in collaboration with Kashsoft Computers, located at 2nd Floor, Matto Complex, Red Cross Road, Maisuma, Srinagar.

The programme was formally inaugurated at the C/132 Battalion CRPF location on June 17, 2026, by Shri W.R. Josuah, Commandant, 132 Battalion CRPF, in the presence of officers and personnel of the battalion, Patron and Chief Executive of J&K Yateem Trust Zahoor Ahmad Tak, Director and staff of Kashsoft Computers, trainees and local residents of Lal Chowk, Srinagar.

On the occasion, Zahoor Ahmad Tak expressed gratitude to the 132 Battalion CRPF for organising the computer training programme for underprivileged youth.

The CRPF also distributed free computer books, writing pads and other stationery items among the trainees. Upon successful completion of the course, all participants will be awarded certificates to support their future job applications, the statement added. (JKNS)
