Srinagar, June 21 (JKNS): The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Sunday marked the 12th International Day of Yoga with grand celebrations across Central Kashmir, bringing together security personnel, civilians, students and community members in a united effort to promote health, mental well-being and holistic living under this year’s theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing.”

As per news agency JKNS, CRPF under the Srinagar Sector

enthusiastically celebrated International Day of Yoga 2026 across the Central

Kashmir Region (CKR) districts of Srinagar, Budgam, and Ganderbal.

The events

were organized with great zeal, aligning with the global theme “Yoga for Healthy

Ageing”.

The main yoga session was organized at Ground Centre (GC) CRPF,

Srinagar, led by Pawan Kumar Sharma, Inspector General, Srinagar Sector

CRPF, in which other senior officers of the CRPF, subordinate officers and

Jawans participated the yoga session enthusiastically.

Officers/personnel from various battalions deployed in the region, along with local residents,

school children, and civil society members also participated in mass yoga

sessions held at multiple locations including battalion headquarters, camps, and public venues.

Trained yoga instructors guided participants through a

series of asanas, pranayama (breathing exercises), and meditation techniques aimed

at enhancing physical fitness, mental resilience, and overall well-being.

Through these

celebrations, CRPF reaffirms its commitment to the well-being of its personnel.

The events concluded with a collective pledge to incorporate yoga into daily

routines for a healthier life.

Similar large-scale yoga sessions were held by CRPF formations across India, reflecting

the Force’s unified commitment to wellness and the spirit of International Yoga

Day. (JKNS)
