Srinagar, Jun 22 (JKNS): In a significant political development in North Kashmir, noted businessman, social activist and Chairman of Civil Society Chinabal Pattan, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, on Sunday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with a large number of supporters during a function held at Church Lane in Srinagar, with party leaders describing the move as a major boost to the BJP’s grassroots outreach in Baramulla district.
The joining ceremony was held in the presence of BJP General Secretary (Organisation) J&K Ashok Koul, State Secretary Mudasir Wani, Media Incharge Adv. Sajid Yousuf Shah, All Cells Co-Incharge & Prabhari Baramulla, Bilal Parray, and District President Baramulla Ghulam Hassan, besides senior party leaders and workers.
Welcoming Fayaz Ahmad Dar into the party fold, Ashok Koul said that the BJP continues to attract dedicated individuals committed to public service and the development of Jammu & Kashmir. He expressed confidence that Dar’s experience in social work and community outreach would strengthen the party’s grassroots presence, particularly in Baramulla district.
Speaking on the occasion, Fayaz Ahmad Dar said he was inspired by the BJP’s vision of inclusive development, good governance, and nation-building. He pledged to work wholeheartedly for the welfare of the people and to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
Other party leaders also welcomed the new entrants and expressed hope that their joining would further reinforce the BJP’s organisational network and outreach across the region. (JKNS)
