Anantnag, June 22 (JKNS): A 10-year-old girl lost her life after sustaining a fatal neck injury while playing on the rooftop of her house in Gadiseer area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday.

Reports reaching news agency JKNS that the minor, identified as Tafheeda Khursheed, daughter of Khursheed Ahmad Dar, was critically injured after suffering a severe neck injury during play on the roof of her residence.

They said family members immediately rushed her to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bijbehara for treatment. However, despite efforts by doctors, she succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

The body was kept at SDH Bijbehara for medico-legal formalities before being handed over to the family for last rites.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated necessary proceedings. (JKNS)
