Srinagar, June 22 (JKNS): The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Monday ordered the transfer of senior IPS officer Anand Jain from Jammu and Kashmir to the Union Territory of Ladakh, appointing him as the Director General of Police (DGP), Ladakh, with immediate effect.
According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS, Anand Jain, an AGMUT cadre IPS officer of the 1999 batch, has been transferred from Jammu and Kashmir and posted as DGP, Ladakh.
The order stated that the transfer and posting have been made with the approval of the competent authority and shall remain in force with immediate effect until further orders.
The order was issued by C.P. Vinod Kumar, Under Secretary/Consultant, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. (JKNS)
