Srinagar, June 27 (JKNS): Two persons lost their lives and four others sustained injuries after a vehicle skidded off the road and rolled into a deep gorge on Guldanda Road in the Bhaderwah area of Doda district on Saturday, officials said.
Official sources told news agency JKNS that the accident occurred when the vehicle reportedly lost control and plunged into a gorge, leaving six occupants injured.
The injured were immediately shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bhaderwah, where two of them succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
The deceased have been identified as Imam Hussain (65), a resident of Akhnoor, and Zaitoon Bibi, officials said.
The four injured persons were provided first aid at SDH Bhaderwah before being referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Doda for specialised treatment.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated proceedings. Further investigation is underway. (JKNS)
