Karnah, July 4 (JKNS): Tourism in the picturesque Keran Valley has witnessed a remarkable surge, with the scenic Hadmat Park, Parawari emerging as one of the most sought-after destinations for visitors.

According to official information, nearly 2,200 tourists obtained permits in a single day to visit the banks of the Kishanganga (Gurez/Kishanganga) River, reflecting the growing popularity of the region as a tourist hotspot.

Sources said that Hadmat Park, located near the Kishanganga River, has become a favorite destination due to its breathtaking natural beauty, lush green surroundings, cool climate, and peaceful atmosphere.

During the ongoing summer vacation season, tourists from across Jammu and Kashmir as well as different parts of the country are flocking to Keran in large numbers.

Known for its stunning valleys, towering mountains, dense forests, crystal-clear river, and unique border landscape, Keran has emerged as one of the Valley’s most attractive tourist destinations.

Visitors to Hadmat Park are enjoying the serene environment while capturing memorable photographs and videos, further enhancing the area’s popularity through social media and word of mouth.

Local residents have welcomed the increasing tourist influx, saying it has significantly benefited hotels, guest houses, taxi operators, shopkeepers, and other small businesses, providing a much-needed boost to the local economy.

However, they have also urged the concerned authorities to strengthen basic infrastructure, including sanitation, drinking water facilities, parking arrangements, and security measures, to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for the growing number of visitors.

People in the area believe that with continued government investment in tourism infrastructure, improved visitor amenities, and wider promotion of the destination, Keran has the potential to become one of the premier tourist attractions in Kashmir in the years to come. (JKNS)
