Srinagar, July 8 (JKNS): Three CRPF personnel deployed for the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY-2026) were injured in a hit-and-run accident at the Taingan Overbridge on the Nowgam Bypass on Wednesday, officials said.
Officials told news agency JKNS that the accident occurred when an unidentified vehicle hit the CRPF personnel and fled from the spot.
The injured personnel, belonging to D Company of 148 Battalion CRPF, were immediately shifted to Ujala Cygnus Hospital, Nowgam, for treatment.
Officials said all three injured personnel are in stable condition.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation to trace the vehicle involved. (JKNS)
