Srinagar, July 9 (JKNS): Continuing its intensified crackdown under the ongoing 100 Days Campaign, Kulgam Police on Thursday attached an immovable property worth nearly ₹1 crore in Yaripora as part of its action against assets allegedly linked to unlawful activities, officials said.

As per news agency JKNS, Police, in coordination with the Revenue Department, have attached an immovable property with an estimated market value of approximately ₹1 crore in District Kulgam as part of sustained efforts to curb unlawful activities and dismantle the infrastructure supporting such offences.

The action was carried out by Police Station Yaripora under the directions of SSP Kulgam. The attached property comprises a residential house belonging to Tariq Ahmad, a resident of Tungdnoo, and has been attached in accordance with the relevant provisions of law pursuant to the orders of the competent authority.

This action reflects the firm commitment of the Jammu and Kashmir Police to ensure that proceeds of crime and properties linked to unlawful activities are dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.

Kulgam Police reiterated its resolve to maintain peace, uphold the rule of law, and take stringent legal action against individuals involved in activities prejudicial to public order and the security of the Union Territory.

The general public has been urged to continue cooperating with the police and share information regarding any unlawful activities in their respective areas so that collective efforts towards maintaining peace, security, and the rule of law can be further strengthened. (JKNS)
