Budgam, July 14 (JKNS): The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Srinagar Campus, Ompora, Budgam, hosted its annual graduation show, “Fashionova 2026,” showcasing the creativity, innovation, technical excellence, and unique design concepts of its graduating students.
The event was inaugurated by Ms. Owais Lavasa, IAS, Secretary to the Government, Transport Department, Jammu and Kashmir, who attended as the Chief Guest. She was welcomed by Ms. Monica Gupta, Director, NIFT Srinagar.
Following the inauguration, the Chief Guest, accompanied by the Director, visited various exhibition stalls set up by the graduating students. She interacted with the students, reviewed their final-year projects, and appreciated the innovative ideas, contemporary designs, and high-quality work displayed across different disciplines.
NIFT Srinagar organizes the annual graduation show to provide graduating students with a platform to present their creative collections, final projects, and research work before industry experts, faculty members, and distinguished guests.
This year, around 100 graduating students showcased their final projects and collections in various disciplines, including Fashion Design, Fashion Communication, Fashion and Lifestyle Accessories, and Fashion Management. Their work received wide appreciation from experts, faculty members, and visitors.
Addressing the gathering, Ms. Owais Lavasa commended the students for their dedication, hard work, and creative talent. She encouraged them to continue pursuing innovation and excellence in their professional careers and extended her best wishes for their successful future.
The graduating students expressed their happiness, describing “Fashionova 2026” as a memorable milestone in their academic journey. They said the event provided them with an excellent opportunity to showcase their creativity and skills before distinguished guests, industry professionals, and the public. They also thanked NIFT Srinagar for providing a valuable platform to display their talent.
