Pulwama, July 22 (JKNS): The Swami Jeevan Sahib Baradari Religious Trust celebrated the Annual Festival of Swami Jeevan Sahib with great religious fervour, devotion, and enthusiasm on 19 July 2026 at the sacred Tapasya Sthali and Samadhi of Swami Jeevan Sahib in Ladhoo, Pulwama, Kashmir.

The event witnessed the participation of a large number of devotees from across the Kashmir Valley, including members of the Kashmiri Pandit Baradari residing in the Valley, as well as devotees who travelled from Jammu to pay their respects and seek the blessings of Swami Jeevan Sahib.

The programme commenced with the chanting of Vedic mantras and the performance of a sacred Havan, invoking peace, harmony, and the welfare of humanity. This was followed by devotional bhajans, kirtans, and discourses highlighting the life, spiritual legacy, and timeless teachings of Swami Jeevan Sahib.

Addressing the gathering, Autar Krishna Sadhu, President of the Swami Jeevan Sahib Baradari Religious Trust, said that the Trust has always celebrated the birth anniversary of Swami Jeevan Sahib and has traditionally observed his Nirvan Divas in Jammu with great reverence.

He further stated that, beginning last year, the Trust resolved to organize the Annual Festival every year at the sacred Tapasya Sthali and Samadhi of Swami Jeevan Sahib in Kashmir, ensuring that this holy site continues to inspire future generations.

During the programme, devotees offered Pushpanjali (floral tributes) at the sacred Samadhi of Swami Jeevan Sahib as a mark of their deep reverence. The celebrations concluded with the distribution of Bhandara Prasad to all devotees.

Special prayers were offered for the welfare of all living beings, for lasting peace, harmony, and prosperity in the Kashmir Valley, and for the safe and dignified return of the displaced Kashmiri Pandit Baradari to their ancestral homes, with the hope that they may once again live peacefully in the Valley.

The Trust expressed its sincere gratitude to all devotees, volunteers, and well-wishers for making the celebration a grand success and reaffirmed its commitment to preserving and spreading the spiritual teachings of Swami Jeevan Sahib through this annual festival. (JKNS)
