Srinagar, July 22 (JKNS): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday condemned the terror attack in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district in which Head Constable Ashiq Hussain of the 3rd Battalion, India Reserve Police (IRP), was martyred while performing his duty.
In a post on X, the Chief Minister, as per news agency JKNS, said he was deeply saddened by the loss of the police personnel, describing his death as the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
“Deeply saddened by the death in the line of duty of Head Constable Ashiq Hussain of IRP 3rd Battalion J&K Police. HC Hussain made the ultimate sacrifice in a cowardly terror attack in Anantnag area of South Kashmir,” Omar Abdullah said.
The Chief Minister strongly condemned the attack and extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
“I unequivocally condemn this attack and send my heartfelt condolences to the members of his family. May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannat,” he added. (JKNS)
