Srinagar, July 24 (JKNS): A non-local worker lost his life after he was found unconscious at a factory in the Khanmoh area of Srinagar, officials said on Friday.
Officials told news agency JKNS that a police party from Police Post Khanmoh shifted the body of the deceased to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for radiological examination and other medico-legal formalities.
The deceased has been identified as Shib Kumar (37), son of Itwa Badiya, a resident of Garopada, Alipur district of West Bengal.
According to preliminary information, Shib Kumar was found unconscious inside a Factory at Khanmoh and was immediately taken to PHC Khanmoh, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Police have initiated proceedings under relevant provisions of law to ascertain the cause of death, while further investigation is underway. (JKNS)
