Srinagar, Aug 1 (JKNS): President of Jammu & Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian and Patron of the Jafaria Supreme Alliance, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal Muslimeen Aga Syed Hassan Mousavi Al-Safvi, has strongly condemned the reported attack on sacred sites and facilities established to serve Arbaeen pilgrims near the holy city of Karbala, describing it as a direct assault on religious freedom, human dignity, and the sanctity of innocent lives.

In a statement issued today, Aga Syed Hassan Mousavi Al-Safvi said that the Arbaeen gathering represents a global manifestation of faith, sacrifice, peace, and the eternal message of Imam Hussain (AS).

He stated that targeting pilgrims and places of worship constitutes a grave crime against humanity.

Expressing heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the incident, he prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured and conveyed complete solidarity with the people of Iraq.

Aga Syed Hassan Mousavi Al-Safvi said that the international community cannot remain a silent spectator while innocent worshippers and pilgrims are being targeted by terrorism.

He called upon the United Nations, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and governments across the Muslim world to unequivocally condemn the incident and ensure effective measures for the protection of Arbaeen pilgrims and their property.

He also urged the Government of India to make all necessary arrangements to ensure the safety and convenience of Indian pilgrims travelling to Iraq. (JKNS)
