Ramban, Aug 6 (JKNS): A man lost his life while three others sustained injuries after they suffered an electric shock in the Ramsoo area of Ramban district on Thursday, officials said.
Officials told the news agency JKNS that the incident occurred in Sarbagni area of Ramsoo, where four persons received an electric shock due to a suspected short circuit.
All the injured were immediately shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Banihal for treatment. However, one of them succumbed to injuries during treatment, while the remaining three are undergoing medical care, they said.
The injured have been identified as Yasir Ahmad (70), son of Farooq Ahmad; Ishfaq Ahmad (25), son of Khursheed Ahmad; and Mohammad Yousuf (35), son of Mohammad Haneef, all residents of Sarbagni.
Officials said the identity of the deceased was yet to be officially ascertained at the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the electric shock. (JKNS)
