JKNS : Bharatiya Janata Party senior leader and party spokesperson Dr Darakhshan Andrabi today criticised the main leaders of political parties for raising the issue of restoration of special status or of statehood during electioneering for DDC polls in different parts of the UT. “They have already gone to the top court of the country for a review of the scrapping of Article 370. Let them wait for the court’s endorsement of the Parliament decision. What has the DDC election to do with the restoration of Article 370? Gupkar Alliance is trying to mislead the masses by raising faulty issues,” said Dr Darakhshan. She said that the revocation of the August 2019 decision was impossible and we need to address the real issues of the people of J&K rather than selling lies. “There are some others who continuously rant about the fight for restoration of statehood for J&K. This also is a non issue for poll campaigns. The Statehood restoration needs no fight from anybody as it has been promised by the government repeatedly as soon as things are made conducive and systems are overhauled in J&K,” said BJP Spokesperson. Dr Andrabi said that those who were still dreaming of taking J & K back J&K to its earlier position of chaos were living in fool’s paradise and they were only wasting their time and resources. “J&K is now on the new path of progress, peace and prosperity and these ‘conflict-sellers’ cannot stop the journey of Jammu & Kashmir on this new highway anymore,”said BJP leader.
