Srinagar, Aug 8 (JKNS): In a people-friendly initiative aimed at making administration more accessible to residents of remote areas, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Chadoora today heard the grievances of people from Hulardi Bhagipathri in the Charar-i-Sharief constituency through a video call.
Residents expressed happiness and gratitude over the initiative, saying that such arrangements can help people in far-flung areas directly communicate their concerns to the administration without having to travel long distances.
The residents also expressed their gratitude to Er. Nazir Ahmad Yatoo, a prominent political activist, for facilitating the video-call arrangement and helping connect the people of the remote area with the administration.
The initiative was appreciated by the residents, who said that greater use of technology in public grievance redressal can help ensure that people living in remote and difficult-to-reach areas are also able to access administrative services.
Such initiatives can go a long way in ensuring that the concerns of residents are heard and addressed irrespective of geographical distance. (JKNS)
