Budgam, Aug 10 (JKNS): President of Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi, has expressed deep anguish and outrage over the alleged kidnapping and rape of a minor girl in Bandipora district, describing the incident as a grave crime against humanity and a serious failure of collective responsibility towards the protection of children.

Aga Syed Hassan said that crimes against minors are particularly reprehensible and must be dealt with firmly and without any leniency.

He welcomed the prompt action taken by Bandipora Police in registering an FIR and apprehending the two accused persons, and urged the investigating authorities to conduct a thorough, impartial and time-bound investigation so that anyone found responsible is brought to justice strictly in accordance with law.

He stressed that the dignity, safety and security of children must remain a collective responsibility of families, society and the administration.

“Such incidents inflict deep and lasting trauma on victims and their families and cannot be allowed to become a matter of indifference or routine,” he said.

Aga Syed Hassan further urged the authorities to ensure the minor victim’s privacy, dignity and safety, besides providing her with all necessary medical, psychological and legal support throughout the proceedings.

He appealed to all sections of society to stand with the victim and her family and refrain from speculation, victim-blaming or sharing any information that could reveal the identity of the minor.

Aga Syed Hassan expressed hope that the investigation would be completed at the earliest and brought to its logical conclusion, ensuring that the law takes its strict course against anyone found guilty. (JKNS)
