Anantnag, Aug 10 (JKNS): A two-year-old boy drowned in a river in the Sansooma area of Achabal in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said.
An official told news agency JKNS that, the deceased has been identified as Abuzar, son of Ishtiyaq Ahmad Shilla, resident of Sansooma, Achabal, Anantnag.
Following the incident, locals launched a search operation and managed to retrieve the child’s body, which was subsequently handed over to police for necessary legal formalities.
After completion of the legal proceedings, the body was handed over to the family for the last rites. (JKNS)
