Budgam, August 12, 2026: The All Jammu & Kashmir Shia Association organised Majlis-e-Aza, Marsiya and Jaloos-e-Aza at Parisabad and Ichgam, Budgam, as part of the 28th Safar observances.
At Imam Bargah Parisabad, All J&K Shia Association President Molvi Imran Reza Ansari delivered the sermon and spoke at length about the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) on his death anniversary. He highlighted the Prophet’s character, his message of compassion, justice, patience and guidance, and the importance of following his teachings in personal and social life.
Molvi Imran Reza Ansari subsequently spoke about the life and martyrdom of Imam Hassan (AS), highlighting his patience, sacrifice and steadfastness in preserving the values and teachings of Islam. He also shed light on the historical events surrounding Jang-e-Jamal and emphasised the importance of understanding Islamic history and drawing lessons from it.
He also remembered the victims of the Ghund Khawaja Qasim blast, which took place 26 years ago. He recited Fatiha for the martyrs and appealed to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to ensure that the perpetrators of the attack are brought to justice. He said that despite the passage of 26 years, the families of the victims continue to await justice and accountability.
Molvi Imran Reza Ansari also offered prayers for the martyrs of Iran and prayed for peace in Iran, Palestine and other Muslim nations facing conflict and suffering.
The religious programmes were attended by a large number of mourners from various part of the Valley, who participated in the Majlis-e-Aza, Marsiya and Jaloos-e-Aza with devotion and solemnity.
