Bandipora, Aug 14 (JKNS): A 32-year-old man died after being hit by an auto in the Dachigam area near DPL Bandipora on Friday, officials said.
Officials told news agency JKNS that, the deceased has been identified as Irfan Ahmad Bhat, son of Abdul Jabbar Bhat, resident of Dachigam.
The accident occurred when an auto hit Irfan Ahmad Bhat, following which he was shifted to District Hospital< Bandipora for treatment. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Police have arrested the auto driver and taken cognisance of the incident.
Further investigation into the accident is underway, officials said. (JKNS)
