Sopore, Aug 16 (JKNS): In a proud Independence Day moment for Dangarpora village and Sopore, young healthcare education leader Nasir Hussain has been honoured with the Pride of India 2026 recognition, marking the fourth major recognition of his professional journey.

The achievement has placed the Sopore youth in the national media spotlight, with the Pride of India 2026 story featuring Hussain receiving coverage and distribution through prominent national and digital media platforms including ANI, Google News, Yahoo, The Tribune, Lokmat English, LatestLY, India Global Live and Indian Press Wire, among others.

According to the official media distribution report, the story was carried across 211 publishers, recording a potential reach of more than 629.3 million, giving the achievement widespread visibility across India.

A native of Dangarpora, Sopore, Hussain currently serves as Administrator of Stephens Group of Institutions, Jammu, providing strategic leadership across Stephens College of Nursing, Stephens College of Pharmacy and Stephens Institute of Paramedical Sciences.

A nursing professional, researcher and Ph.D. scholar, Hussain holds a B.Sc. in Nursing and a Master’s in Anatomy & Physiology and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Medical-Surgical Nursing. He has also authored five published research papers.

His earlier honours include the National Prestige Award 2024 for Research & Administration and the National Award in Global Leadership 2025 for Excellence in Nursing Education. The Pride of India 2026 recognition adds another milestone, taking his tally to four major recognitions.

From Dangarpora village in Sopore to being featured across national media platforms, Hussain’s journey has become a proud moment for his hometown and Jammu & Kashmir. His continued work in healthcare education, research and institutional leadership reflects the growing presence of young professionals from Kashmir at the national level.

Coming on Independence Day, the recognition has made the achievement even more memorable, as the young professional continues to bring laurels to Dangarpora, Sopore and Jammu & Kashmir. (JKNS)
