Kupwara Intensifies Preparations for Census 2027 Phase II; Officials Trained on Field Operations, Coordination and Accuracy

Kupwara, Aug 17 (JKNS): The District Administration Kupwara on Monday organized a comprehensive training session for District Officers, Charge Officers and other census-related officials as part of the preparations for Census 2027 Phase II.

The training programme was held at the Meeting Hall of the ACD Complex, Kupwara, with the objective of ensuring effective coordination and smooth implementation of the second phase of the census exercise across the district.

The training session focused on sensitizing designated Charge Officers and other officials about the various responsibilities and procedures associated with Census 2027. Participants were provided detailed orientation regarding the operational aspects of the census process, field-level procedures, documentation, coordination mechanisms and adherence to the prescribed guidelines and protocols.

During the session, officials were briefed about their respective roles and responsibilities and the importance of maintaining accuracy and transparency while carrying out census-related activities. Emphasis was also laid on proper planning at the field level, effective supervision and timely completion of assigned tasks.

Addressing the participants, ADC Kupwara Gulzar Ahmad Khan, who is also the District Census Officer, stressed the significance of accuracy, coordination and timely execution in ensuring the successful conduct of the census exercise.

He underscored that Census 2027 is an important administrative exercise requiring collective efforts from all concerned departments and officials. He called upon the designated Charge Officers and field-level functionaries to remain fully prepared, follow the prescribed procedures and maintain close coordination throughout the process.

The District Census Officer also reiterated the commitment of the District Administration Kupwara towards making meticulous preparations for the census and ensuring that all activities are carried out in a systematic and coordinated manner.

The training programme also provided an opportunity for the participating officers and officials to understand the practical requirements of the census exercise and seek clarification regarding various field-level responsibilities and procedures. Such orientation sessions are aimed at building institutional preparedness and ensuring uniform implementation of the census guidelines across the district.

The administration emphasized that effective coordination among District Officers, Tehsildars, Charge Officers, Master Trainers and other concerned functionaries will be crucial for the successful completion of the census-related activities.

CPO Kupwara, District Officers, Tehsildars, Master Trainers, officials from the District Statistical and Evaluation Office (DSEO) Kupwara and other concerned officials attended the training session.

The District Administration maintained that continued training, preparedness and coordinated efforts among all stakeholders will remain a key focus as the district moves forward with the implementation of Census 2027 Phase. (JKNS)
