Srinagar, Aug 22 (JKNS): A 76-year-old non-local man was found unconscious inside a Hanuman Temple in the Amira Kadal area of Srinagar on Saturday and was later declared dead at a hospital, officials said.
Officials told news agency JKNS that a police party from Police Station Shaheed Gunj shifted the man to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar, for medical attention.
However, doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead, the official said.
The deceased has been identified as Mahant Vishnu Dass, son of Baba Bajrang Dass, a resident of Uttar Pradesh and presently residing at Durganag, Dalgate, Srinagar.
The man was found in an unconscious condition inside the Hanuman Mandir located at Amira Kadal.
