Anantnag, Aug 22 (JKNS): MLA Kokernag Zaffar Ali Choudhury held a detailed discussion on key developmental issues concerning the Kokernag constituency, with focus on strengthening healthcare, banking services and tourism infrastructure in the area.
A major issue discussed was the upgradation of Kokernag Hospital to a 50-bedded facility, aimed at strengthening healthcare infrastructure and improving access to medical services for the people of the constituency.
The MLA also took up the need for establishing bank branches at Soaf and Guri-Draman, highlighting the importance of expanding banking facilities and improving access to financial services for residents, particularly in areas where such facilities remain limited.
Tourism infrastructure at Kokernag, Daksum and Chatabal was also discussed, with emphasis on strengthening facilities at these destinations to improve the experience of visitors and support the local tourism economy.
