District Administration Ganderbal reaches out to poor family at Gutlibagh

Assures full support to the family members

GANDERBAL, DECEMBER 15: After the video went viral on Social Media regarding to poor living conditions of three sisters from Gutlibagh Ganderbal, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) today visited the family to access the situation and assistance needs to the poor family.During the visit Additional Deputy Commissioner, Farooq Ahmad Baba, ACR, Tehsildar Ganderbal and other concerned accompanied the DC.On the occasion, the DC interacted with the family members who brought various issues faced by them into the notice of the DC.Taking cognizance of the issues raised, the family was provided assistance from Red Cross and directed the concerned to provide immediate assistance to the family as per their requirement.He also assured all possible support to the family.
Meanwhile the DC exhorted upon the local committee members to take care of the family.He also asked them to constitute a committee officially who shall look into the funds raised on voluntary basis so that funds are used for the welfare of the family.The Social Welfare department was directed to provide Pre-Matric scholarship to the children and he also reiterated that government is competent enough to take care of the downtrodden and poor people of the society.
