Kishtwar, Aug 24 (JKNS): The Executive Magistrate 1st Class, Bunjwah, Kishtwar, has issued a safety advisory for residents and the general public in view of the prevailing situation in and around the Kalnai Stream, urging strict adherence to precautionary measures until further orders.

The advisory directs residents to avoid unnecessary movement outside designated safe zones in and around the Kalnai Stream area.

The general public has been specifically warned not to use the old wooden footbridge or take shortcuts to cross the stream under any circumstances, citing the potential risk to life and safety.

Parents and guardians have also been asked to maintain strict vigilance over children and ensure they do not venture near the banks of the Kalnai Stream, play near the water or remain close to the water’s edge.

The administration has further advised people to avoid or limit all non-essential travel and movement in the vicinity of the stream until the area is declared safe by the competent authorities.

The public has been urged to strictly follow directions issued by the Tehsil Administration and extend full cooperation to the local administration, police and other concerned authorities to prevent any untoward incident. (JKNS)
