Srinagar, Aug 25 (JKNS): BJP J&K Spokesperson Altaf Thakur on Tuesday extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the Muslim Ummah on the auspicious occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).

In his message, Thakur said the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is a sacred occasion that reminds humanity of the timeless values of peace, compassion, brotherhood, justice, patience and service to mankind.

He said the life and teachings of the Prophet (SAW) provide guidance for building a society based on mutual respect, kindness and harmony.

He urged people to draw inspiration from the Prophet’s exemplary life and make compassion, forgiveness and concern for the poor and needy an integral part of their lives.

“Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) is not only a day of celebration but also an opportunity to reflect upon the noble teachings and message of the Prophet. His life remains an eternal source of guidance for humanity,” Thakur said.

Thakur called upon people to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and communal harmony and work collectively for a peaceful and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir.

He said the spirit of the occasion should inspire everyone to rise above differences and contribute towards the welfare of society.

He also prayed to Allah Almighty to bless Jammu and Kashmir with lasting peace, prosperity and development and bring happiness and well-being to every household.

“May the blessings of the Holy Prophet (SAW) bring peace to our hearts, harmony to our society and prosperity to our homes. May Allah Almighty guide us towards the path of righteousness and compassion,” he said.

Thakur once again conveyed his heartfelt wishes to the people on the sacred occasion and prayed for peace and prosperity across the region. (JKNS)
