Beerwah, August 31: An informative and impactful legal awareness programme on the NALSA (Legal Services to Workers in the Unorganised Sector) Scheme, 2015 was organised today at the Block Development Office (BDO), Beerwah, by the Tehsil Legal Services Committee, Beerwah (Additional Special Mobile Magistrate, Beerwah).

The programme aimed to sensitise participants, particularly workers in the unorganised sector, about their legal rights, welfare benefits, social security measures and access to free legal aid.

Addressing the gathering, Advocate Naseer Khan delivered a detailed and informative speech on the NALSA Scheme, 2015. He explained the significance of legal awareness for workers and highlighted the various mechanisms available to them for seeking legal assistance and protecting their rights.

Adv. Naseer Khan emphasised that access to justice is a fundamental aspect of an equitable society and that free legal aid plays a vital role in supporting economically weaker and vulnerable sections of society. He urged participants to remain aware of their legal rights and available remedies and to approach the appropriate legal services authorities whenever they require assistance.

The programme also provided an interactive platform for participants to understand their legal entitlements, welfare provisions and avenues available for accessing legal services.

The organisers stressed the importance of conducting such awareness programmes at the grassroots level to strengthen legal literacy, empower workers and ensure that eligible beneficiaries are able to avail themselves of the legal and welfare services available to them.

The programme concluded with an appeal to workers and members of the public to remain informed about their rights and make effective use of the free legal aid services available through the legal services authorities.
