Srinagar, Sept 4 (JKNS): Kashmir
Valley Hockey Club (KVHC) today organised a Sports Kit Distribution Programme at Khadi Mill, Aloochi Bagh, Srinagar, for the benefit of its registered hockey players.
The programme was attended by prominent members of the civil society, sports personalities and well-wishers, who appreciated the initiative of the Kashmir Valley Hockey Club towards the promotion and development of hockey among young players.

J&K, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and encouraged the young players to work hard, remain disciplined and bring laurels to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr Kulvinder Singh Mehta, President, Kashmir Valley Hockey Club, who highlighted the vision and objectives of the Club.
He reiterated the Club’s commitment to promoting hockey and providing encouragement and necessary support to budding players.
Sports kits were distributed among the players as part of the Club’s continued efforts to encourage young talent and promote participation in the sport.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr Harbinder Singh, General Secretary, Kashmir Valley Hockey Club, who expressed his sincere gratitude to the Chief Guest, members of civil society, distinguished guests and all those who contributed to making the programme a success.
Kashmir Valley Hockey Club reaffirmed its commitment to the development and promotion of hockey and the welfare of young players in the region. (JKNS)
