In a post on X, as per news agency JKNS, PM Modi wrote, “I presented a Russian translation copy of the sacred Thirukkural by the divine scholar Thiruvalluvar to Russian President Putin. The Thirukkural proclaims the immeasurable wisdom of Thiruvalluvar that transcends national borders and languages.”

“Delighted to meet President Putin in Delhi, less than two weeks after our meeting in Bishkek,” he wrote.

PM Modi said the two leaders discussed closer trade ties, including the implementation of the Programme for Economic Cooperation 2030.

“During today’s meeting we talked about closer trade ties, including implementation of the Programme for Economic Cooperation 2030,” he said.

He added that the discussions also covered cooperation in areas including infrastructure, energy, technology, defence and culture.

The Prime Minister further said that India’s efforts during its BRICS Presidency, aimed at furthering the welfare of the planet, were also discussed during the meeting.

In his post, PM Modi also shared the Russian-language version of his message, highlighting the discussions on closer trade and economic ties, cooperation across key sectors and India’s efforts during its BRICS Presidency.
