Bandipora, September 26: Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended its Bandipora District President Syed Sajad Hussain from the post with immediate effect, according to an official communication issued by the party’s General Secretary Mohammad Khursheed Alam.
In the letter addressed to Syed Sajad Hussain, bearing No. JKPDP/GS/4183, the party stated that his “recent statement and utterance” were not found to be in line with the party’s stand on the subject concerned.
The communication further states that before Syed Sajad Hussain explains his position on the matter, he has been placed under suspension from the post of District President, Bandipora.
The PDP General Secretary has also directed Syed Sajad Hussain not to represent the organisation in any capacity until further orders.
Syed Sajad Hussain had been serving as the PDP’s District President in Bandipora and has recently issued public statements on TET Issue. His recent remarks regarding the teaching community had drawn criticism from the Jammu & Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum and Other Organisations.
The latest party order makes clear that the suspension is linked to the party’s objection to his recent statement, while the letter does not specify the exact statement or remark that prompted the action.
