Srinagar, Sept 27 (JKNS): A migrant steel welder was killed on the spot after a tipper truck collided with his scooty near a brick kiln in Shalina Srinagar on Sunday, officials said.
Officials told news agency JKNS that, the deceased has been identified as Arbaz Khan, a migrant steel welder.
The tipper involved in the accident has been seized by the local authorities. The law and order situation at the site remains under control, with no crowd gathering reported.
A Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team is awaited at the spot for inspection and collection of relevant evidence.
Cognizance of the incident has been taken and further investigation initiated. (JKNS)
