Budgam, Sept 27 (JKNS): Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, Sujit Kumar, IPS, on Sunday reviewed the overall security and crime situation in Budgam district, stressing enhanced coordination, preventive policing and operational readiness to ensure public safety.
IGP Sujit Kumar as per news agency JKNS, visited District Budgam and chaired a comprehensive security and crime review meeting at District Police Headquarters, Budgam.
The meeting was attended by DIG Central Kashmir Range Shri Rajiv Omprakash Pande, IPS; SSP Budgam Shri Hariprasad K. K., IPS; ASP Budgam Shri Sajjad Bukhari; DySP Headquarters Shri Sajjad; SDPO Magam Shri Mohd Ashrif Lissery; SDPO Khansahib; DySP DAR Shri Ghulam Mohiddin; SHO Charar-i-Sharief Shri Owais Wani, besides other senior officers of District Budgam.
During the meeting, the IGP Kashmir undertook a detailed review of the overall security situation and crime scenario in the district. He assessed the existing security arrangements, crime prevention measures, investigation and disposal of cases, as well as ongoing policing and security operations.
The IGP Kashmir stressed the need to further strengthen the security grid, enhance coordination among field formations, and ensure prompt and effective action against criminal and anti-social elements. He also emphasized strengthening preventive policing, maintaining close surveillance, and sustaining heightened vigilance to ensure peace, security, and public safety across the district.
SSP Budgam briefed the IGP Kashmir on the prevailing security and crime situation in the district and apprised him of the measures being undertaken to further strengthen the security apparatus, improve crime prevention and investigation, and enhance public safety.
The IGP Kashmir directed all officers to maintain professionalism, alertness and operational readiness, while ensuring effective policing and a strong focus on the safety and security of the public. (JKNS)
