Jammu, Sept 27 (JKNS): The Khelo Masters Foundation organised 4th Khelo Masters Inter-School and Masters championship in International Delhi Public School (IDPS) Jammu.
The event witnessed massive participation from students of various schools and Master swimmers.
The inter-School championship was held in differents categories including U-5 to U-8 , U-9 to U-12 , U-13 to U-14 and U-15 to -U-17.
In Masters’ category the event was held under 30 and above.
In U-9 to U-10 category, Ebaad Nadeem won Gold medal, Sahastrajeet Singh Jamwal won silver medal and Parbshish Singh won bronze medal. All the students were from IDPS Jammu.
In under 12 to under 14 category of 25-meter freestyle Mahik bin Akthar won Gold, Milhaan bin Akthar won silver and Samarth Sethi and Gurasis Singh won bronze. All of them represented IDPS.
In 50 meter freestyle category, Mahik bin Akthar won, Gold, Ebaad Nadeem won Silver and Milhaan bin Akthar won bronze.
In 25 meter breaststroke U -12 to U-14 category, Saksham Bashotra won gold, Milhaan bin Akthar won silver and Ebaad Nadeem won bronze medal.
In girls under 5 to 7 category free style of U -5 to U-7 Miran Pasha Patoi of Jodhamal school won Gold.
In U- 8 to U-12, Sayeed Maheen Yousaf won Gold, Alisha Arfan Mir won silver and Kritika Pathania of DPS and Salina Arif won bronze medals.
In U- 12 and U-14 category, Ravvya Raj Sharma won Gold and in U – 17 category Aaidha Nabi won gold.
In Masters event of 100 meter individual medley, David Sandhu won Gold medal.
In 25 meter freestyle, Kapil Gupta won Gold, Ridhim Anand won Silver and Anik Sahivgtra won bronze.
In 25 m breaststroke Ridhim Anand won Gold, Sanjeev Dogra won Silver and Anil Shivgotra won bronze.
In 25 m freestyle, Vijan Goyal won Gold medal and Shuaan won Silver. In 50m freestyle U-17, Vijan Goyal won Gold and Shuaan won silver medal.
On the occasion, Managing Director IDPS Mr. Suminder Singh Chugh was chief guest whereas MD IDPS Mr. Swaran Singh and Principal IDPS Ms. Randeep Wazir were Guests of Honour.
In the evening event, Mr. Rajeev Sharma was Chief Guest and Mr. Ravinder Singh was guest of the honour.
Speaking on the occasion, MD IDPS Suminder Singh Chugh appreciated the efforts of Khelo Masters Foundation for organizing the competition and giving opportunity to the budding swimmers to compete. He assured all the help to the organizing committee and especially to the Convener David Sandhu for organizing such an event in IDPS Jammu.
The event was graced by Khelo India Foundation convenor David Sandhu, coordinator J&K Jaswinder Singh Kukku and Swimming General Secretary Kapil Gupta. (JKNS)
