Anantnag, 28 Sept 2026 (JKNS): The two-day Inter-Battalion Kabaddi Tournament – 2026 under OPS Range Anantnag (J&K) began today at Government Degree College (GDC) Kokernag, Anantnag.
The tournament is being organised by 164 Battalion CRPF, Kokernag, on 28th and 29th September 2026. The event aims to promote sportsmanship, fitness and brotherhood among the forces deployed in the Valley.
Senior officers of the CRPF and personnel from various battalions of OPS Range Anantnag are participating in the tournament. Staff members and students of GDC Kokernag were also present on the occasion and encouraged the players.
Such sports events are being organised by the CRPF to boost morale, strengthen civil-military relations and encourage physical fitness among jawans performing duties in challenging conditions in Jammu & Kashmir.
More matches will be played tomorrow, 29th September, followed by the prize distribution ceremony. (JKNS)
