Srinagar, Sept 29 (JKNS): Four Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel were killed in a firing incident at the Sewa Project in the Mashka area of Kathua district on Tuesday, officials said.
A senior police officer told news agency JKNS that the incident occurred following an altercation among CISF personnel deployed at the project.
He said four personnel sustained gunshot injuries in the firing and were shifted to a hospital for treatment, where they later succumbed to their injuries.
The officer said police teams reached the spot soon after the incident and secured the area. An investigation into the circumstances leading to the firing is underway.. (JKNS)
