Srinagar, Oct 3 (JKNS): At least one person was killed and several others injured after a bus met with an accident in Ramban district on Saturday.
Officials told news agency JKNS that the accident took place in Ramban, resulting in the death of a woman and injuries to several other passengers. The injured were shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed grief over the loss of life in the accident and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family.
“Deeply anguished by the tragic bus accident in Ramban, in which one person lost her life. Heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. Spoke with DC Ramban to ensure best possible treatment for the seriously injured shifted to GMC Jammu. Praying for their speedy recovery,” the Lieutenant Governor said in a post.
The LG also spoke with Deputy Commissioner Ramban regarding the condition and treatment of the injured, particularly those shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu. (JKNS)
