Srinagar, Oct 3 (JKNS): A seven-year-old girl was injured after being attacked by a leopard in Damhal Hanji Pora area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, officials said.

An official told news agency JKNS that the girl sustained injuries in the leopard attack in the DH Pora area.

The injured girl was identified as Shahida Akhtar, daughter of Rafia Kalas, a resident of DH Pora, Kulgam, and was shifted to SKIMS Srinagar for specialised medical care.

Meanwhile, the incident has caused concern among residents, who have urged the authorities to take immediate measures to prevent further leopard attacks in the area. (JKNS)
