JAMMU, OCTOBER 5: In a bid to bring the latest developments in interventional cardiology closer to the medical fraternity in Jammu and Kashmir, PARAS Health Gurugram, in association with the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Jammu Chapter, will host a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on October 10.
The programme, titled “What Is New in Cardiology 2026”, will focus on emerging technologies and contemporary approaches that are reshaping the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiovascular conditions.
The CME will be held at Hotel Radisson Blu, Jammu, at 8 pm, and will feature Dr Amit Bhushan Sharma, Senior Director and Unit Head – Interventional Cardiology, PARAS Health Gurugram, as the academic speaker.
Dr Sharma is expected to take participants through some of the significant advances in contemporary cardiology, with particular emphasis on leadless pacing, TAVR and MitraClip, 3D radiofrequency ablation (3D RFA), transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR), OCT and orbital atherectomy.
The session is aimed at providing clinicians with an opportunity to understand the evolving landscape of interventional cardiology and discuss how newer technologies can expand treatment options for patients with complex cardiac conditions.
The programme will also bring together senior members of the medical fraternity as panellists, including Dr Pavan Malhotra, President, IMA Jammu Chapter; Dr Sanjeev Narang, Honorary Secretary; Dr Gurjeet Singh, Executive Council Member; and Dr Mohan Lal, Member, IMA.
Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, Hon’ble MLA and Patron, IMA Jammu Chapter, will be the Chief Guest.
The CME is expected to provide a platform for academic exchange between specialists and practitioners, while highlighting the growing importance of technology-driven and minimally invasive approaches in cardiovascular care.
