Bhaderwah, Oct 22 (JKNS): In a powerful stride toward building a shared future and nurturing the leaders of tomorrow, the Army Recruiting Office (ARO) Jammu, under the aegis of HQ Recruiting Zone Jalandhar, conducted a high-impact Indian Army Career Outreach Programme at Government Degree College (GDC), Bhaderwah on 21 October 2026.

The mega event witnessed an overwhelming response, drawing the active participation of 300 enthusiastic students, including NCC cadets, along with the college teaching staff.

The session was gracefully helmed by the College Principal, Prof. Basharat Iqbal, who lauded the Army’s continuous journey to unite with and uplift the vibrant youth of Jammu Division.

Aimed at transforming the raw passion of young aspirants into a structured career path, the comprehensive program focused on educating candidates about the diverse entry routes into the Indian Army. Special emphasis was laid on:
* Officers’ Cadre Entries – Guiding students on how to join the elite leadership ranks of the defence forces.
* NCC Special Entries – Maximizing opportunities for disciplined cadets to transition seamlessly into military service.
* Women Candidates (NariShakti) – Highlighting the expansion, proud horizons for women looking to don the uniform and serve the nation.

During the interactive session, the recruitment authorities strictly reiterated the core values of the selection process. The Army explicitly reminded all aspirants that recruitment into the Indian Army is entirely free, transparent, and merit-based.
In a strong advisory against fraudulent elements, the youth were urged to beware of touts. The recruitment team cautioned the audience: “Stay alert and don’t let scammers exploit your dream of donning the uniform. Rely only on your hard work and official channels.”
Aspirants were requested to use the only authentic portal for all registrations and updates ie www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.

Through this successful outreach, the Indian Army has once again ignited a spark of patriotism and clarity in Bhaderwah, Doda, equipping the next generation with the roadmap to a life of ultimate honor, courage, and selfless service to the nation. (JKNS)
