Srinagar, Oct 22 (JKNS): In a profound expression of compassion, inclusivity and unwavering commitment to human welfare, Pritam Spiritual Foundation (PSF) in collaboration with Chinar Corps of the Indian Army, successfully organised five-day medical camps at Uri and Zangli Garrison, Kupwara from 12 to 22 October 2026 for the benefit of the differently-abled community of North Kashmir.
During the camps, 14 artificial limbs were fitted, 250 hearing-impaired beneficiaries received assistance, and 258 assistive devices and appliances were distributed free of cost to deserving individuals from Kupwara and adjoining areas.
The endeavour exemplified the Indian Army’s enduring commitment to the welfare, empowerment and holistic development of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Through such humanitarian initiatives, the Army continues to transcend the conventional contours of its security mandate, strengthening the bonds of trust and mutual respect with local communities through empathy, compassion and meaningful engagement. The partnership with PSF and BMVSS, further demonstrated the transformative potential of collaborative efforts in bringing specialised assistance and life-enhancing interventions within the reach of those who need them most.
As the five-day camps culminated, its impact resonated far beyond the numerical measure of beneficiaries assisted and devices distributed. It left an enduring impression of compassion translated into action, challenges transformed into possibilities and hope renewed through collective endeavour. For the beneficiaries and their families, the initiative was not merely an act of assistance, but a reaffirmation of their inherent dignity and their right to lead lives of greater independence and fulfilment.
