Srinagar, Oct 23 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has directed all centre superintendents of the Annual/Regular 2026 examinations to ensure that answer scripts are collected and packed roll number-wise instead of series-wise.
In a circular issued on Friday, JKBOSE Secretary G. H. Sheikh as per news agency JKNS said, the roll number-wise collection and packing of answer scripts would facilitate coding, help trace missing answer scripts, if any, and save time and resources.
The Board said the procedure would also prove useful in cases where candidates mistakenly write incorrect roll numbers or series on their answer scripts.
The circular further directs centre superintendents and invigilatory staff to ensure that all candidates clearly mention their roll numbers and series on their answer scripts.
The concerned staff have been instructed to check each answer script before attesting the candidates’ particulars and proceeding with parcel packing.
JKBOSE has warned that any deviation from the instructions will be viewed seriously, and the concerned centre superintendents and invigilators will be held accountable for erroneous collection and packing of answer scripts.
The Board has also directed its vigilance squads to verify compliance with the circular while inspecting examination centres. (JKNS)
