Sopore, 25 October 2026:In order to curb social evils, foil nefarious designs of anti national elements and ensure public safety, Sopore Police today launched an extensive naka checking and search drive across Police District Sopore with the assistance of K-9 Squad.
Special nakas were established at various sensitive locations and vulnerable points under all Police Stations and Police Posts. During the drive, K-9 teams were utilized for thorough checking of vehicles, luggage, parked vehicles and suspicious objects for detection of narcotics, illicit liquor, arms/ammunition, explosives/IEDs and other contraband substances.
Sopore Police appeals general public to remain vigilant and share information regarding social crimes or suspicious activities for prompt action.
