Srinagar, October 26, 2026: A convocation ceremony was organised by IHCL, the Indian Army and REACHA in Srinagar to celebrate the successful completion of front office training by youth from Kashmir under an IHCL-supported project facilitated by the Indian Army and implemented by REACHA.

The programme marked an important step towards youth empowerment and skill development in Kashmir, bringing together trainees, Indian Army officials and other stakeholders to recognise the achievements of participants and encourage them to pursue promising career opportunities.

The highlight of the programme was the convocation ceremony, during which 50 trainees received industry-aligned certificates from IHCL–Tata STRIVE in recognition of their successful completion of the training programme. The ceremony acknowledged their dedication, hard work and commitment to learning.

An important segment of the event was the “Voices of the Youth” session, during which trainees shared their experiences, learning journeys and aspirations for the future. They spoke about the skills they had acquired, the challenges they had overcome and how the training had contributed to their personal and professional growth.

The session highlighted the importance of providing young people with access to practical, industry-oriented training, encouragement and opportunities to build sustainable careers.

IHCL, the Indian Army and REACHA reaffirmed their commitment to empowering the youth of Kashmir by equipping them with market-relevant skills and preparing them to meet industry requirements. The initiative aims to enhance employment opportunities, help young people earn a sustainable livelihood and contribute to the well-being of their families.

The programme underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in strengthening skill development, promoting self-reliance and creating a brighter future for the youth of Kashmir.
