Kupwara, October 28(JKNS):* The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara today participated in a Block Diwas programme held at Nutnusa, where public issues and ongoing developmental works were reviewed. On the occasion, he directed officials of the concerned departments to take public grievances and demands seriously and ensure effective measures for their timely redressal.
During an interview with Sharafat Manzoor, the DC Kupwara said that several developmental works, including road connectivity and other basic facilities, had been undertaken in the district’s hilly areas. He assured that if any work remained incomplete in any area, efforts would be made to identify the pending works and ensure their completion.
The DC emphasised that addressing public grievances remains a priority for the administration. He instructed the concerned officials to work sincerely and responsibly towards resolving people’s issues so that the difficulties faced by residents could be addressed in a timely manner.
He further stated that programmes such as Block Diwas serve as an important platform for strengthening communication between the public and the administration. These programmes provide residents with an opportunity to raise their concerns directly before the authorities.
The administration, he said, is committed to reviewing public grievances and coordinating with the concerned departments to ensure their appropriate resolution.(JKNS)
